For it was in Him that all things were created, in heaven and on earth, things seen and things unseen, whether thrones, dominions, rulers or authorities: all things were created and exist through Him and in Him and for Him. And He Himself existed before all things and in Him all things are held together.
Colossians 1:16,17

In view of the very common usage of OMG by most of our society, I wonder if this is linked to the Bible verse in Romans that if we don't praise Him even the rocks will cry out to Him. For Christians the use of God's name should always be with respect and reverence never taking His name lightly so the expression is totally inappropriate. For non-Christians, it proves they do believe in God despite their protestations. By virtue of using the word God, it has a meaning (supreme being or someone higher than myself). Unbelievers (rocks & stones) are compelled to use the phrase, but it is to their detriment and judgment. All of us will be held accountable for our words! (my husband’s thoughts and 1st time FB posting!)

Home Decor

Do you need some encouragement? A daily reminder? I have been designing some graphics for putting in picture frames to set around my home. You are more than welcome to print this as a 4x6 for your home and heart. May Romans 11:36 be a blessing!

12 Things Happy {Christians} Do Differently

I saw this article highlighting a book: 12 Things Happy People Do Differently - Practical Tips for Productive Living (http://www.marcandangel.com/2011/08/30/12-things-happy-people-do-differently/)

In reading it, I couldn't help but think of God's advice for productive living. May I share?

1. express gratitude: IThessalonians 5:18, Philippians 4:6,7

2. cultivate optimism: Jeremiah 29:11, Colossians 1:14-17, Matthew 6:25-34

3. avoid over-thinking and social comparison: Galations 6:4-5, Philippians 2:3,4,
Romans 12:2,3, James 2:10, Romans 3:23, Romans 6:23

4. practice acts of kindness: Galations 5:13, 1Peter4:10, Matthew 10:42

5. nuture social relationships: Hebrews 10:24,25, Eccel. 4:12

6. develop strategies for coping: Proverbs 3:5,6 Isaiah 41:10, Romans 8:28

7. learn to forgive: Matthew 6:15-17, Hebrews 12:15

8. increase flow experiences: Romans 12:11, Revelation 3:20, John 15:5

9. savour life's joys: Philippians 2:12-18, James 1:2-4

10. commit to your goals: Joshua 1:8

11. practice spirituality: Matthew 5:16, James 2:18

12. take care of your body: Romans 12:1,2

Man has a solution for happy living. God has a different one! “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,”declares the LORD. As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts." (Isaiah 55:8-9) God's plan gives life to the full!
